Anthony Quinn Bay
A small green cove of clear, deep water, named after a film star.
Anthony Quinn Bay is a narrow cove between rocky headlands south of Faliraki, with pines down to the water and a colour photos rarely exaggerate. It's named after the actor, who filmed The Guns of Navarone on Rhodes in 1961 and fell for this stretch of coast.
In the water
The beach itself is small: a strip of pebbles and a few flat rocks. The point is the water, deep and clear, with fish all along the rocks. Dive schools bring beginners here for good reason.
Good to know
- Arrive before ten; space and parking go quickly
- Bring a mask and water shoes
- If the cove is full, Ladiko, the sandier bay next door, is a two-minute walk
