Lachania
Whitewashed lanes, a fountain and a plane tree, in the quiet south.
The south of Rhodes is quieter, greener and far less visited, and Lachania is one of its prettiest villages: whitewashed houses, blue and green doors, and lanes that wind down to the church.
The square
Below the village, a small square sits under a big plane tree beside an old stone fountain. It's the place to stop for a cold drink.
