Archaeological Museum of Rhodes

Ancient Rhodes, in the Knights' 15th-century hospital.

The museum is housed in the great Hospital of the Knights, finished in the late 15th century at the foot of the Street of the Knights. The building is as much a reason to visit as the collection.

What you'll see

  • The arcaded courtyard, and the long hospital ward upstairs
  • Sculpture from ancient Rhodes, including the marble Aphrodite of Rhodes
  • Painted pottery and grave finds from Kamiros and Ialysos
  • A small, shady garden of carved fragments

Good to know

There's an entrance fee. Allow an hour, and pair it with the Palace of the Grand Master at the top of the street.
