Snorkelling near Kolympia
Clear water, rocky edges and the odd sea cave.
The east coast's water is famously clear, and the rocky ends of its bays are full of fish. Bring a mask and water shoes and try these.
- Anthony Quinn Bay ≈ 15 minDeep, clear water along the rocks. The best on this coast.
- Traganou ≈ 10 minSea caves at the end of the beach.
- Grande Blue ≈ 15 minA cliff cove known for its snorkelling.
- Agathi Beach ≈ 20 minRock formations off the right-hand side of the beach.
- Kallithea Springs ≈ 20 minA small cove below the old spa, with clear water over rock.
- Pefkos ≈ 30 minRocky edges between small sandy coves.
Good to know
- Calm mornings give the clearest water
- Stay close to shore and watch for boats near harbours
- Never touch sea urchins; water shoes help
